BYD's SongPro DM-I Delivers Strong Sales Figures in its First Month
Shenzhen, China - November 6th, 2023 - BYD, a leading Chinese automaker, has announced that its latest model, the Song Pro DM-i, has achieved impressive sales figures in its inaugural month.
With its official launch just last month, the Song Pro DM-i has exceeded expectations with over 31,800 units sold. The vehicle comes in four different trim levels, priced within a range of CNY 11,280 - CNY 14,280 (approximately USD 1,700 - USD 2,100). The compact SUV features a combined 1.5L plug-in hybrid powertrain and integrates BYD's latest DM5.0 electric motor technology.
Aesthetically, the Song Pro DM-i boasts a sleek design, with elongated front headlights adding an athletic touch to its appearance. Measuring at 4,735 x 1,860 x 1,710mm (L x W x H), it boasts a spacious and compact footprint. The mid section LED light signature retains the iconic BYD double "B" logo.
In terms of feature content, the vehicle combines state-of-the-art amenities such as a mobile quick charge and USB port front row seat charger with advanced intelligent interactivity via vocal commands, PM2.5 intelligent air quality system optimization, adjustable ring lights in 31 colours for enhanced atmosphere enjoyment.
The L2-Level DiPilot smart driving assistance feature is standard across all model variants, offering the vehicle's ability to maintain control at all times via its intelligent systems including ICC - Intelligent Routing Control and ACC self-adjusting cruise speed. In addition advanced safety features such as Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), and Blind Spot Detection enable safe driver experiences. Smart mobile charging functionality supports seamless mobile charging on-the-go.
As for interior designs, BYD is incorporating the sophisticated "Huangyu" – a Chinese term symbolizing 'golden yellow color' across this newest generation trim. Combining modern materials as well as unique sculpting for better visual depth and design language continuity through its full range of trim model offerings including the new model to follow shortly, features abound on both rear seats that have been bolstered with mobile charging, Bluetooth connection support and ambient LED lighting.
When it comes to powertrain, the DM5.0 hybrid technology system is powered by a 1.5L gasoline engine, producing up to 74 horsepower, combined outputting 120 kW electric unit. With an estimated fuel consumption of CNY 3.79L per 100km on the NEDC cycle and with electric ranges spanning up to 1400 km (75+115) under either CLTC standard test mode or real world urban usage standards respectively.
