Beijing BJ40 Magne Engine Version Begins Pre-Sale in China
The pre-sale of the Beijing BJ40 Magne Engine version, a new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) model, began on December 17th in Beijing. The car features two available trim levels, with prices ranging from CNY 22.48 to CNY 24.48 thousand, and an introductory deposit of CNY 2000 yuan, allowing customers to get close to a full refund.

Exterior Design
The new vehicle boasts a classic five-shutter front face design, ring-shaped daytime running lights, and an overall robust appearance. The car has dimensions of 4790mm x 1940mm x 1964mm, with an axle-to-ratio angle of 38 degrees, approaching departure and arrival angles by 37 degrees. It also features a floating roof design, external spares wheel box, and unique "F" type side lights.
Interior Design
Inside the car, we find a sleek center console and co-driver's seat designed in dual-screen layout. The car is equipped with CNY 10.25-inch liquid crystal screen, CNY 12.8-inch rear-seat control screen, CNY 12.8-inch passenger display panel, and an 9-inch media back-view mirror. The car features a high-performance configuration of the HiSilicon K3X chip, accompanied by AI voice scene dialogue assistant.
The vehicle offers seating for five passengers, each equipped with heated seats, aerodynamic vents, and lumbar support. Driver's seat is paired with memory function.
Powertrain
The new model comes powered by the 1.5T Magne Engine smart increment system, with a total system power of CNY 403kW and a maximum torque of CNY 655N·m. The plug-in hybrid fuel efficiency reaches an electric-only driving record of 152km, and combined fuel efficiency for CLTC reaches up to CNY 1200km. Fuel consumption is recorded at approximately CNY 8.68L / 100kM.
The car utilizes a non-alloy body design with the full-range intelligent anti-theft system (ATS) integrated advanced traction control system. The system boasts comprehensive capabilities, such as smart door unlock function, and other exclusive modes of off-road driving, offering customers access to 4 city traffic assistance patterns, 6 out-of-town navigation routes, and 1 racing mode.
