Jaguar's New Electric Land Speedster to Make Its Debut at Miami Art Week
A spy shot has emerged of the brand-new, fully electric Land Speedster from Jaguar, marking its maiden appearance. According to earlier reports, the price tag will start at over $13 million (approximately 94 million RMB), with some rivals also setting their sights on the new model.
The Land Speedster is set to make its public debut at the Miami Art Week, where it will be joined by three other concept vehicles. Ahead of its unveiling on December 2nd, we caught a glimpse of the car's disguised design, which seems to incorporate elements from the Jaguar family.
From the side, the front grille takes on a familiar shape reminiscent of the brand's traditional style, while the side lamps have been flattened to create a sleeker appearance. The front air intakes, however, boast an aggressive and sporty design.
The back of the car looks much more futuristic, with clean lines similar to the ShootingBrake and GrandTour combinations. Another noticeable feature set includes larger-than-usual wheels along some subtle details like hidden door handles, all the while bolstering charging outlets at the test vehicle's front wingboard section. We'll be keeping a close eye on this car as more information is revealed about its performance and other specifications.
Design-wise, it appears that an entire design overhaul for Jeep's upcoming model has been undertaken with 17 different whole-size mockups created in just three months by three distinct design teams. The significance of the car's introduction lies not only in marking a departure from internal design standards but may indeed herald what looks set to be design revolutionary within Jeep's product lineup, potentially applying their new design language across all products going forward.
