Hyundai's New IONIQ 9 Unveiled: A Flagship Electric SUV
The official unveiling of the Hyundai IONIQ 9 has marked a major milestone in the company's electric vehicle (EV) lineup. This new model is based on the E-GMP platform, shared with Kia's EV9, and positions itself as a pure-electric Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV).
With its official launch scheduled to take place at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the IONIQ 9 is expected to hit the market in the second half of 2025.
Exterior Design
The outward appearance boasts an upright stance that exudes confidence. The vehicle features a robust and imposing exterior with sleek, futuristic touches.
A notable highlight is the unique split-lamp arrangement at the front, where a central LED daytime running light leads into two wing-like LED bars, bathing all in a futuristic glow.
On the side profile, clean lines create an effortless yet substantial silhouette that complements its SUV stance while still showcasing agility.
At the back of the car, advanced LED technology plays a key role with arrayed LED lighting at rear. These are matched perfectly by matching black accents adding to smoothness.
Interior Design
The interior space has been enhanced by incorporating larger digital screens for added functionality, and is complemented by numerous touch-sensitive surfaces offering improved convenience.
The interior keeps the familiar physical elements such as buttons and rotary controls. For more comfort and versatility in entertainment it also includes support for streaming capabilities behind its seats through a touchscreen that doubles as a display screen at both sides of doors.
