NIO Unveils Plans for 2026 Electric Vehicle Launch and Expanses its Charging Network

November 1 - NIO Day 2024 is set to take place on December 21 in Guangzhou, marking the theme of "Together&Further." The event will include a launch for NIO's third brand, Firefly Flyer, which will adopt a sustainable electric technology route.

NIO CEO Lee Bin has put an end to rumors regarding the company's push towards hybridization. He denied previous speculations mentioning the involvement of dynamic mixtures in third-brand projects. According to him, "Let's not speculate on certain matters; NIO already holds a significant stake in battery production and doesn't need further assistance."

NIO also announced the formal release of its Alder Crimson Yang Intelligent System 2.1.0 version via Over-The-Air (OTA) upgrade, featuring several key upgrades such as support for fourth-generation fast-charging stations.

Alder Crimson Yang has seen a cumulative 12 updates since its initial release in 2022 and boasts over 188 unique updates and enhancements across system versions alone. The company has had global FOTA (Fast Over-The-Air) updates totaling 124, with an additional 2239 updates across features overall.

NOMI GPT saw notable upgrades including new functions such as infinite quiz chat and a new NOMI GPT interaction interface. Other recent updates include the navigation color perception mode integration with Tencent's Smart Parking Application for easier navigation, and support for NIO's fourth-generation fast-charging infrastructure.

In another development, NIO has successfully connected its rapid highway networks via 10 October's events: G80 Expressway network connecting to Guangdong Province and G56 Expressway network synchronized on the Zhejiang-Shandong segment. This marks an achievement in building a comprehensive nation-wide charging and swapping infrastructure for NIO, which has seen notable successes with a total of 871 seats set up along National highways.

The rapid progress of NIO extends beyond highway networks, featuring advancements towards wider urban areas, providing substantial benefits to customers looking to integrate EVs seamlessly into their daily lives.
