Audi Unveils New E-Model at 2025 Shanghai Auto Show
Audi has announced that its new electric model, Audi E, will make its production debut at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show. Developed in collaboration with SAIC Motor, the car is being designed specifically for the Chinese market.
The Audi E electric model features a futuristic design inspired by Audi's concept vehicle. In reality, it closely replicates the design of its predecessor, according to official statements. The development timeline for this new model has been significantly shortened from 36 months, with production targeted to begin within 18 months.
Audi CEO Hendrik Fitzer said that Audi E is an "innovative smart car" developed in collaboration with SAIC Motor on a new platform for smart cars. This model will set the stage for various smart mobility solutions.
Specifications
The Audi E electric model has dimensions of 4870mm (length), 1990mm (width), and 1460mm (height). It also boasts an axle length of 2950mm, powered by a dual-electric motor producing a maximum of 765kW.
This energy-efficient car produces 0-100km/h acceleration in just 3.6 seconds and is equipped with an 100 kWh battery pack that provides ranges such as the CLTC standard 700 km, with power consumption of 10 minutes to charge 300 km on a 800V charging station.
Audi plans to release another new model - a saloon car followed by an SUV within 2026 to 2027.
