Volvo Launches Teaser Images for ES90, Revealing New Details of Flagship Electric SUV
In a recent move, Volvo has released teaser images of the ES90, its latest flagship electric SUV, providing an insight into the vehicle's design and features.
The ES90 is expected to share the same SPA 2 architecture as the EX 90, with a focus on positioning itself as a premium, all-electric luxury car. According to reports, the ES90 will boast software-defined vehicles (SDVs), with impressive range capabilities of up to 700 kilometers.
According to Volvo officials, the new model features a traditional three-box design for the sedan-style SUV, emphasizing clean lines and angular edges that evokes strength and power.
Key details about the vehicle include:
- A split tail light design, featuring two vertically-stacked C-shapes with additional lateral LED group as high-lift braking lights
- Advanced driver assistance technologies including 8 cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and 5 other radars
In terms of performance, Volvo has confirmed that the ES90 will be available in single-electric rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, equipped with a high-performance electric motor. The ES90's battery pack is said to consist of two sections totaling 111 kWh, although the actual usable capacity remains uncertain.
The car set features LED fog lights from GAC Polestar Engineered Further enhancing its range capabilities is Volvo's fast-charging system that can recharge the vehicle from 80% in less than 10 minutes.
