Rumors Surround New AMG Electric Flagship SUV
A recent leak on the internet has unveiled a set of mysterious photos showcasing various details of the forthcoming AMG electric flagship SUV. The vehicle is expected to be built upon the AMG.EA platform, positioning itself as a high-performance pure-electric SUV anticipated for release in 2026 or 2027.
Development Details
The new vehicle's exterior features an enclosed roof net and a front air intake that spans across the lower portion of the body. Two recessed areas on either side are expected to host flow-through design elements, aimed at guiding airflow around the wheels. Big LED lights adorn the front and boast robust engine compartment lines that seem sturdy and menacing.
Another highlight is the car's use of hidden door handles and massive, dark-browed wheels that add to its aggressive stance.
Exterior Design
On closer inspection, the exterior features a dynamic flow-styling body type with subtle downward curves at the roof line. Still, this design doesn't follow an all-sloping layout as it might provide better visibility on the road while giving a sporty view from a distance without affecting practicality too much.
Rear Design
The rear part is currently under testing and comes fitted with temporary round taillights, but they are expected to be permanently fitted when officially released. The inclusion of an adaptive diffuser will also enhance aerodynamics during different driving states. Alongside this plan, carbon-ceramic braking systems could be integrated for enhanced braking experience.
Powertrain Details
The vehicle's power system is said to incorporate the 800V structure and four electric motors. The latter are predicted to produce more than 1000PS of peak horsepower, along with a potential feature for active pitch control torque vectoring in conjunction with advanced suspension systems.
