Million-Dollar Flagship SUVs: U7's Powerful 1,300-Plus Horsepower V6 Set to Debut on March 27th

New Energy Flagship Sedan Apev U7 to Launch on March 27

A new energy flagships sedan, Apev U7, is set to launch on March 27. The vehicle will be a powerful new-energy model, capable of both electric and plug-in hybrid powertrains, marking a significant step forward for the Chinese automotive market.

The exterior design of the Apev U7 has been influenced by its sibling model, U9, with bold C-shaped front headlights, laser-guided sensors at the top, and a panoramic sunroof. Measuring 5,265 x 1,998 x 1,517 mm in length, width, and height respectively, the car's length has increased to accommodate the electric motor layout, giving it an overall weight of around 2,460mm.

On the powertrain front, Apev U7 offers both electric and plug-in hybrid configurations. The fully-electric version is powered by four motors delivering a total output of 1,300 horsepower, capable of reaching speeds of up to 270 km/h and boasting an estimated range of over 720 kilometers in WLTC testing mode. The plug-in hybrid model, featuring a 2.0-liter engine paired with four electric motors, boasts a more impressive power-to-weight ratio at 272 horsepower for the engine alone and a combined output of 1,360 horsepower.

A New Standard Set by the U7

Another top-tier new energy vehicle set to launch is the ZENJIA S800, slated for an unveil during a recent press event. Its length measures in at 5,480 mm, width at 2,000 mm, and height of 1,536mm, with a wheelbase spanning 3,370 meters.

The Chinese-designed luxury sedan sets itself on the stage for a battle within its price segment against new-energy rivals. With one of its variants being available at a value slightly below that of several other brands selling similar offerings, it looks like ZENJIA intends to give the industry a significant wake-up call with a top-of-line flagship vehicle designed around an extensive electric charging system that is highly capable in real world use cases.
