Ideal Motors Announces Planned Release of MEGA and L Series SmartDrive Upgrades; Limited-Time Policies Extended for Existing Models
Ideal Motors EVP, Mr. Liu Jie, recently shared on his personal social media platform that the company will launch its SmartDrive upgrade version for the MEGA and L series cars in May. The latest iteration focuses primarily on upgrading the smart driving system's hardware and software, including the addition of laser radar modules to the AD Pro system.
As part of this upcoming release, the AD Max variant is set to switch from Intel Dual-Orion X chips to single Thor U chips, providing improved assistance and full-scene NOA functions. Furthermore, both theDual-Orion X-enabled model and the new Thor U-enhanced AD Max will maintain support for currently available on-device +VLM models, alongside expected compatibility with Ideal's future-developed VLA large-scale models.
The L8 Pro version has been upgraded from Epsilon J5 chips to J6M, coupled with enhancements of laser radar capabilities, allowing for similar and enhanced security features as the AD Max variant. The advanced NOA functions remain available throughout these updates via over-the-air (OTA) patches.
Ideal Motors currently offers a diverse selection of models across its lineup, including the MEGA priced at 52.98万元, the L9 with two variants available priced between 40.98万元 and 43.98万元, with L8 and L7 available in variations priced within a range from 32.18 to 37.98 Manafort and 30.18 to 35.98万元 for the respective models. The Pro-series variants of these cars are all equipped with laser radar.
Additionally, Ideal Motors announces its latest model: Ideal e-SUV i8. This electric SUV is positioned below and above the MEGA and L series in its target market while taking design cues from both lines, offering a six-seater configuration within its rear compartment via newly designed roof structure, contributing to an expanded passenger experience compared to current models.
