Leaked Pics: Longer, Low-Roller Cayenne Coupé Spotted - Is This Tesla-Fighting Peugeot Project?

Pure Electric Cayenne Coupé Spotted, Will Coexist with Petrol Version

A series of spy shots for the all-electric Porsche Cayenne Coupé has emerged online, giving us a first glimpse at the SUV's design before its official unveiling. Set to compete with petrol-powered variants, the electric Cayenne Coupé is expected to share sales channels.

Inside and Out

The exterior of the new car boasts camouflage, while maintaining consistency in terms of front-end design compared to previous spy shots featuring the purely electric Porsche Cayenne Coupé. The rounded shape of the large headlights appears more refined and angular than those found on petrol versions, with a 2x2 grid structure visible for day-to-night LED lighting.

  • Front Side:
    • Cars have been designed to look sleeker by adding aerodynamic elements.
  • Headlights appear rounder compared to their original style in the earlier photos.
  • Two air intakes are embedded into the hood on either side of the headlight.

The car features a sloping roof, flowing lines, and appears longer than the corresponding petrol version.

Rear Section

  • Tail Lights:
    • The LED matrix-style front lights suggest advanced lighting technology for increased safety.
  • Two sensor-based units are seen embedded into one part at the back of the rear light.

The presence of a ducted design underneath adds to the notion that Porsche has implemented airflow controls within the system that enhance aerodynamics during normal driving.

The Future

Developed on the PPE platform, this new vehicle includes advanced 800V charging technology to allow for rapid and convenient charging options at public charging stations across Japan and other parts of Asia. Porsche aims to deliver improvements in efficiency along with enhanced customer comfort and everyday usability as key targets of development in a bid to compete successfully against various rivals.

Further updates regarding the overall specifications, design features, and more will remain on our radar as we continue to monitor progress closely.
