GAC Gaide x50 GTR Overcome Will Debut on March 25th

The GAC Gaide x50 GTR Overcome is set to launch in China on March 25th. The new model takes cues from the existing GAC Gaide x50 and is positioned below the higher-end Starlink model.

Pricing for the current Starlink model starts at RMB 8,980 (approximately USD 1,350), but analysts predict that prices for the Overcome variant will be more competitive.

Compared to the existing X50 Starlink model, the Overcome features a smaller 8-inch infotainment screen and does away with key upgrades such as rearview camera functionality, Flyme Auto in-car system, HiCar vehicle-to-vehicle linking, and advanced voice control capabilities. The car also loses support for OTA (over-the-air) software updates.

In terms of performance, the new GAC Gaide x50 GTR Overcome is powered by a 1.5T supercharged engine, delivering a maximum output of 181 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque. It comes paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
