New Electric SUV Expected to Hit Brazilian Market This Year
A new electric SUV is expected to hit the Brazilian market this year, with the Chevrolet Spark switching to a new badge – the Geely Yuelu Plus.
The vehicle is expected to primarily target the South American market due to its size and range. The Chevrolet Spark's current hybrid model will be replaced by a pure-electric small SUV that boasts a more compact design.
Design
The exterior of the SUV remains consistent with its predecessor, boasting a streamlined body with notable features such as a black frontal grille sealed off from the engine compartment, complemented by four LED daytime running lights arranged in a 4-point grid pattern. The vehicle's overall aggressive appearance makes it easily recognizable on the road.
Dimensions and Performance
With dimensions measuring 3996 mm in length, 1760 mm in width, and 1726 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2560 mm, the Geely Yuelu Plus has a relatively compact design. This size aspect not only makes parking easier but also provides an impressive acceleration rate.
Inside
The interior design will feature three-spoke multi-function steering wheels paired with large-format digital instrument cluster and lift screens that integrate seamlessly into the dashboard's aerodynamic design. The HVAC layout, particularly highlighted as being more visually appealing, includes circular exhaust vents, giving a more advanced drive experience without compromising on style.
Electric Drive
The new offering is expected to rely solely on multiple electric motors placed at the rear of the vehicle, with maximum output estimated to reach 75 kW/102 horsepower and be equipped with a battery capacity of 41.9 kWh, enabling an estimated CLTC pure electric travel distance of approximately 401 miles.
