BYD Tengshi D9 to Launch on December 26, Bringing Upgraded Features and Technology
The Chinese automaker BYD has announced plans to launch the updated version of its mid-size MPV, the Tengshi D9, on December 26. This latest iteration is expected to boast a host of upgrades in its configuration, focusing primarily on enhancing driver experience.
According to an official statement from BYD, the 2025 model year D9 will primarily incorporate upgraded features and advanced technology, including a high-end intelligent driving assistance system dubbed "Ten Godian Eyes". Additionally, expect improvements to interior trim elements, as new details become available soon.
Design Evolution
In terms of its design, the Tengshi D9 has followed the same visual identity as before. Notably, however, the rear LED lightbar and grilles on the front have been redesigned. In addition, the hood features an enlarged laser-level sensor to enhance overall visibility while driving.
Performance and Safety Features
BYD will be offering ten high-end screen formats that provide seamless connectivity worldwide. This includes a central multi-screen, an instrument cluster display and side screens for both passengers.
Furthermore, the D9 has been fitted with cutting-edge AirSPA double zero-gravity seats in the rear row. With the inclusion of advanced audio equipment, drivers can now enjoy the convenience of integrated entertainment at its finest levels available.

Engine specifications for the 2025 Tengshi D9 indicate its 1.5L engine has a capacity of BYD472ZQB and is fitted with a plug-in hybrid system, providing a total power output of 115kW.
A rechargeable battery pack has also been implemented in order to optimize efficiency at its maximum levels, as indicated by a capacity of 39.938kWh, including the ability to travel an electrical range between 145km to 155 km
