New Energy Vehicle Spotted: Northern Automotive to Launch Compact All-Electric SUV Against Hyundai Pro
A series of test shots of the new electric SUV, codenamed C37TB, have been leaked, revealing a compact offering that competes directly against Hyundai's existing Pro model. The vehicle is expected to feature all-wheel-drive capability.
The shots reveal the new SUV's design language to be less intimidating than initially thought. A more understated approach has been taken for this product.
In terms of design, the front features a slim grille with integrated LED lights and large headlights that are raised slightly. The central section is marked by a closed grille, flanked by air intakes that aid in cooling. These design cues hint at the vehicle's ability to handle rigorous terrain.
The side profile showcases the characteristic traits of this new model. Semi-hidden door handles accompany sported black alloy wheels and aerodynamic design elements on C pillars contribute towards an aggressive, youthful stance. The rear D pillar sports a slanted silhouette, paired with strong-edged tail lights that have more visual appeal than its predecessor.
Underneath, the vehicle rests upon an improved rear-twist arm non-independent suspension setup designed to work alongside electric propulsion power. The driver port is located at the rear of the front wing but its operational information has yet to be revealed by Northern Automotive's team.
Further updates regarding this new model will continue to form the focus of our coverage in the coming days.
