HYUNDAI SANTA FE INTRODUCED AS FIFTH VEHICLE ON STLA MEDIUM PLATFORM
A new Hyundai Santa Fe AIRCROSS model has been spotted, which is set to join the newly launched platform as its fifth vehicle (following the 3008, 5008, Grandland and upcoming DS N°8). According to our information, the production version of this car will be unveiled in 2025.
The spy shots reveal that the production version mirrors the concepts released earlier at the Paris Motor Show, with a high degree of similarity. The front fascia's LED strip design is expected to remain unchanged, accompanied by an enclosed grille and large air intakes.
In terms of details, the production model appears to have adopted more conservative exterior designs compared to its concept counterpart, including traditional rear-view mirrors and door handle designs in lieu of the sleeker versions seen on the show car. The 20-inch alloy wheels also reflect a practical approach in line with mass-market standards. Although the tail lights will retain their striking appearance from the concept, there are indications that for safety reasons they won't be as prominently projected.
The Santa Fe could boast an array of choices concerning its mechanical configuration – namely, an engine lineup comprising petrol, hybrid and electric power variations. Petrol variants, as opposed to their earlier iteration, shall boast a 1.2-liter T3 turbocharged inline four cylinder engine for increased speed but reduced fuel consumption. With the growing demand for environmentally friendly mobility solutions, electric drive models will also be available in a two different configurations: one single front-wheel electric variant and more importantly a high-performance front, all-wheel drive double electric layout variant for the bigger budget buyers.
