Automobile Sales in China: January 6-12, 2024
The latest sales rankings for the Chinese automobile market have been announced by Ideal Motors. Ideal Motors has reclaimed its position as the leading new energy vehicle (NEV) brand in terms of monthly sales revenue, with a total of 76,000 units sold during the week.
However, Geely's subsidiary, Leap Automobile, took second place in the NEV sales rankings, with a weekly sales figure of 74,000 units. Xiaomi Automobile came third, with sales of 54,000 units, closely followed by Rong Guang, which tied for fifth position. In contrast, Leland Automobile showed relatively poor performance, with sales of only 18,000 units.
The luxury vehicle sales rankings saw the top three brands being Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and BMW. The latter was still slightly behind its sister brand Audi in terms of sales data. Tesla took fourth place, closely followed by Ideal Motors.
Electric Vehicle Sales Rankings
China's electric vehicle (EV) market sales rankings were as follows:

- Tesla 3.89 Million Units Sold
- Ideal Motors 3.67 Million Units Sold
