Geely's Lechi Electric Vehicle Model Z20 Makes Global Debut
Beijing, November 1 — Chinese automaker Geely announced that its monthly sales of the Lechi electric vehicle model reached over 30,000 units in October, setting a new record for the month. The second-generation all-electric model, known as Geeli Z20, marks another milestone in Geely's quest to electrify its lineup.
A notable development is the global unveiling of the Geeli Z20, which is scheduled to enter mass production later this year. Priced between 17 and 20 million CNY (around $2.3-$2.8 USD), the model has garnered widespread attention from domestic consumers.
The Geeli Z20 retains the brand's family-based design language, dubbed "THE NEXT DAY." The dimensions measuring in at 4460mm x 1845mm x 1573mm yield a wheelbase of 2755mm, positioning it as a compact SUV. Its aerodynamic coefficient stands at 0.25.
Under the hood, the all-new Z20 boasts a powerful 250 kW rear-wheel drive electric motor, delivering peak torque of 373 Nm and offering a range of up to 530 km on a single charge. The onboard battery capacity totals 61.47 kWh. Furthermore, the Geeli Z20 also sports advanced fast-charging technology, capable of boosting its energy levels by 10-80 percent in just 15 minutes and adding an additional 370 kilometers to the vehicle's already impressive range.
