Klaresey (China) Announces Two Safety-Related Recalls on Certain Dodge Chargers
In accordance with the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Products for Recall and the Implementation Measures thereof, Klaresey (China) Automotive Sales Co., Ltd. has filed a recall plan with the National Market Supervision Administration.
The affected vehicles are Dodge Chargers produced between August 21, 2017, and September 12, 2017, totaling 711 units, as well as those produced from February 15, 2019, to October 18, 2019, totaling 930 units. These recalls stem from a previous announcement on December 22, 2022.
Scope of the Recall:
Two separate batches of vehicles will be recalled:
- The first batch includes Dodge Chargers manufactured between August 21, 2017, and September 12, 2017.
- The second batch comprises those produced from February 15, 2019, to October 18, 2019.
Reason for the Recall:
The recall is issued due to the potential for a short-circuit in the battery pack that could lead to an electrical fire. This condition poses an inherent risk of safety hazards to driver and passengers.
Corrective Actions:
Klaresey (China) Automotive Sales Co., Ltd. will replace the faulty control module software with newer versions, designed to identify potential issues before they occur. This updated software is complimentary for affected vehicles.
Until the software upgrade is completed:
- Users are cautioned against charging their batteries.
- Vehicles should be parked at a safe distance from buildings and other vehicles for potential emergencies.

Klaresey (China) will contact users through phone calls to inform them about this recall. Affected customers can seek assistance by contacting the authorized service center or by reaching out to Klaresey's customer support hotline. Furthermore, updates can be found on the National Market Supervision Administration's Recall Center website, as well as through Klaresey's WeChat public number.
