Volvo Unveils EX30 Cross Country, A Rugged Mini SUV
A new image set for Volvo's upcoming EX30 Cross Country has been released, showcasing the car's exterior and interior features in greater detail. The vehicle will be positioned as a small SUV variant of the EX30, with a range of outdoor gear upgrades that will debut in Chinese markets by 2025.
The EX30 Cross Country inherits many design cues from its existing EX30 brethren, but adds new elements such as a blacked-out rear window and new front bumper graphics featuring Swedish geographic landmarks. The side profile features 18-inch dark-tinted alloy wheels with large off-road rubber fitted to the standard tires, while the exterior also boasts an elevation of 1.8cm for better ground clearance.
A range-topping C-sillar adds a cross-country badge on its right-hand side and integrated roof-mounted roof box. Rear end remains largely unchanged with black-dotted rear lights incorporating an eye-catching design element that mirrors the front.
On the other hand, interior designs are more similar to the existing XC30. Standard equipment boasts impressive array of advanced tech elements which also include a 12.3-inch vertically-set infotainment display and three-spoked steering wheel fitted with control buttons. Door sills were absent as well, adding an overall clean aesthetic touch that emphasizes Volvo's focus towards modern luxury.
As for the powerful output of the new EX30 Cross Country, its drivetrain engine is based upon existing dual-engine layout which delivers maximum outputs similar to top-of-line trim. Although no official figures have been provided by Volvo yet, we can confirm it stays with 428 horsepower for all variants.
