GAC Gonnie L6 EM-i to Debut on February 12
The official release date for the GAC Gonnie L6 EM-i has been confirmed as February 12, marking the start of pre-orders for the fifth generation of vehicles in the brand. The initial lineup encompasses five variants, with prices ranging from 9.28 to 11.98 yuan.
A series of upgrades can be observed across the vehicle's configuration, infotainment systems, and powertrain. Exterior dimensions remain largely faithful to its predecessor while the body measures 4782/1875/1489mm with an axle distance of 2752mm.
Inside, a new display features a 10.2-inch full-lcd instrument cluster accompanied by dual-spoke multi-functional steering wheels. The dashboard hosts a 14.6-inch central screen, along with a wireless charging panel on the center controller area, complete with rotational control keys. GAC's latest Flyme Auto suite sits inside Silver Mist – an intelligent seat and cabin setup enabling seamless connectivity between onboard computer systems, mobile devices, and cloud networks
In terms of power, this vehicle combines a 1.5-liter (natural-gas) engine with the God Electric hybrid technology to achieve Ray Power's EM-i Super E-V Hybrid drive system, yielding peak performance at 82 kW from that non-turbocharged gas unit alone — without its accompanying supercharger, fuel efficiency has therefore seen an improvement.
There are two battery options: one of 8.5 kWh size and another measuring almost twice in capacity – as much as a full range pure-electric 19.09 kilowatt-hours – to potentially deliver fuel efficiency between 3.8 liters per 100 kilometers (48 miles) through electric propulsion alone vs the lower estimated rate, as well as about 3.95 for each of two driving distances set at just over 115 miles with corresponding higher values when plugged into gasoline power
