Yadea Sales Soar 49% as Annual Totals Reach New Heights of 248,259 Units Sold

Hyundai's 2024 Sales Figures Revealed: Record-Breaking Numbers in China

Hyundai unveiled its December 2023 sales figures, which show a significant increase of 28.1% compared to the same period last year, with 24,058 units sold. The total annual sales for the automaker reached 248,259 vehicles, representing a 49.2% growth.

To achieve this impressive performance, Hyundai has consistently pursued a four-pronged strategy: technology upgrading, product renewal, channel innovation, and user service. This includes laying out its manufacturing base along various value chains across the industry.

In China, where it has long been at the forefront of research development, Hyundai recently invested 1.88 billion yuan into an intelligent factory upgrade. This cutting-edge facility in the country will further enhance product reliability and quality. Furthermore, Hyundai is continuously reinforcing technology investment within the region by making significant strides at its modern technology research center in Shanghai.

One notable highlight from Hyundai's offerings in 2024 includes the launch of several new electric vehicles (EVs) designed specifically for Chinese users' travel needs. Additionally, as part of partnership with Australian Open sponsors including the major sponsorship deal with Tennis Australia’s top-tier platform, Hyundai will continue to provide support and services during various events.

Moreover, Hyundai's strong position within traditional fuel-based markets enables it to innovate by adapting products based on user needs. For instance, it recently released several refreshed product models like K3, Sonata and the latest 2025 model of K5. The updated portfolio fulfills diverse travel preferences amongst Chinese consumers effectively.

Throughout its operation globally, Hyundai boasts an impressive vehicle export record in China where the brand holds an exclusive position at number one under joint ventures. Its product lineup comprises cars such as Veloster Tauru, Kona N Line, and EV 5 – which have seen their cumulative exports exceed $36 billion since 2018.

This remarkable performance transcends geographical boundaries, ranging from Southeast Asia and Central America to Australia, Brazil, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia and more countries over the globe. In addition to car shipments, Hyundai also successfully exports over 300,000 engines. The automaker targets an ambitious goal of selling at least 180,000 cars in China in 2025 by opening up markets across eighty+ countries with a significant improvement in automobile export scale.

With this substantial drive for progress within its operational scope, the company will be well positioned to capture its next growth milestone as an automotive player.
