According to insiders, the new vehicle will be equipped with a full LCD instrument cluster and a large-sized infotainment screen, featuring a round-off rectangular steering wheel design. Both sides of the dashboard boast circular multi-functional buttons. The car's interior seems to follow NIO's design language, with seats made from woven materials.
Comparing previous spy shots of the vehicle, firefly appears to be sleeker and more compact than NIO's existing models. Its overall design is characterized by a frontal aspect ratio that gives it a sense of resolution. The front grille features a rectangular breathing aperture, and upon the rear, there's a diffuser with high-set fog beam lights.
In light of previous statements from firefly's CEO, Li Bin, which suggested the brand would share soft hardware and batteries with NIO to reduce costs, we can expect the new ride to feature advanced power-saving technologies. It is expected that they might make use of similar regenerative braking systems used by NIO vehicles.
