NIO Unveils 2025 Product Roadmap, Introduces New Models and Enhanced Smart Features
Li Lun, chairman of NIO, recently shared the company's product roadmap for 2024 during a live stream event. The new NIO ES6, EC6, ET5, and ET5T models are expected to hit the market in May and June, with prices potentially increasing due to demand.
NIO also announced plans to publish a new vehicle every quarter from April to December, adding more products to its lineup, including NIO, Laidao, and Huabei. Furthermore, Li Lun revealed several updates on NIO's smart features and technologies.
The new ET5T model will feature several upgrades, including improved exterior design, enhanced interior design, and the latest chip architecture. The exterior of the new ES6 and EC6 models has been designed with a stronger emphasis on lines and layers, featuring all-new front bumper designs, all-new carheadlights, and more precise details.
Internally, the ET5T model will boast the NIO Smart Seat 2.0 smart seat design system.
Regarding intelligence control, the new ET5T's chip will be upgraded to the CTA3D1L smart chip, which is powered by the ChaCha neural network chip developed by NIO Research Institute. This chip boasts performance comparable to four top-tier market leaders' chips and can efficiently handle complex tasks, provide more secure algorithms, and support high-end autonomous driving.
Later this year, NIO will expand the Sky OS car control system to Full Blood Mode, with multiple iterations of urban district autonomous driving starting from March.
In 2025, NIO's battery-swapping stations are expected to experience a surge in construction projects. The company has completed several battery-swapping station construction plans for over 200 locations across China's mainland and Hong Kong.
During the Spring Festival this year, NIO provided approximately 176 million+ vehicle-to-vehicle power swaps and 14.4% year-on-year growth.
