Xiaomi Announces Record-Breaking Lap Time at Nürburgring Nordschleife
Xiaomi has officially confirmed that its SU7 Ultra prototype car achieved a lap time of 6:46.874 around the Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit, becoming the fastest four-door car ever recorded on the track.
Driven by David Pittard, who won the 2023 Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance race, the SU7 Ultra prototype demonstrated exceptional speed and handling capabilities. Notably, this achievement is also certified by the Nürburgring official timing system.
For perspective, other notable lap times around the Nordschleife include:
- Volkswagen ID.R (prototype), a 2020 record holder with a time of 6:45.903
- Porsche Taycan Turbo GT, currently holding the fastest production electric car position with a time of 7:07.355
- Aston Martin Valhalla, a sub-7-minute lap performer, although exact times not shared
- Mercedes-AMG ONE and Jaguar I-PACE SV Project 8 continue to hold the top spots in their respective categories.
