Red Flag Launches New Energy Platform and Smart Platform at the Red Flag Brand Night
On November 12th, at the Red Flag brand night, Red Flag officially launched the Teng Guang pure electric platform and the Jiāng jiàn smart platform. Among them, the Teng Guang 08 was set to debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show in December, with pre-sales starting on the same day.
Teng Guang Platform
The Teng Guang platform is a modular platform that can be applied to cars ranging from compact sedans to large-sized luxury SUVs, as well as MPVs and cross-over vehicles.
The new platform features a battery capable of maintaining 98% capacity in -10°C temperatures, with charging times reaching 29 minutes for 80% charging. Electric drive is also upgraded, with efficiency rates up to 96%. Additionally, the platform will feature multiple-source heat management systems and has improved electrical and thermal safety.
Red Flag's new platform boasts advanced technologies, including:
- Four-wheel steering and directional control
- Advanced battery management and cooling systems
- Improved aerodynamics and reduced wind noise
Future Developments
The Teng Guang platform is expected to be used as the basis for Red Flag's upcoming models. According to officials, several new vehicles are currently in development.
In addition, Red Flag announced that its solid-state batteries have entered prototype testing.
Another notable announcement was the launch of the Jiāng jiàn smart platform.
Jiāng jiàn Smart Platform
The Jiāng jiàn smart platform is designed to provide advanced levels of safety and convenience for passengers. Key features include:
- Advanced augmented reality (AR) interfaces
- Enhanced driver assistance systems
- Integrated voice control
This platform will utilize the Red Flag "Liang Jian" architecture, which promises improved performance and efficiency.
In addition, the Jiāng jiàn smart platform will come equipped with advanced audio technology.
Expected Releases
The Teng Guang 08 is set to be released in December, with pre-sales starting on November 12th. The full range of vehicles based on this platform are expected to arrive in 2025.
