New Mercedes-Benz CLA Embodies the Brand's Latest Design and Technology

The new Mercedes-Benz CLA has been officially unveiled, marking its arrival as the company's first electric vehicle on the MMA platform. The CLA will be joined by other upcoming models such as the Shooting Brake, GLA, GLB, and a compact "G-Class" car, with many of these vehicles expected to debut at future auto shows.

Exterior: A Return to Concept Design and Electric Accent

The new CLA retains its previous concept car design while taking on an electricized style. The front fascia remains largely unchanged, with large grille elements and pointed headlights. The purely electric version features a sealed-off body design, filled with numerous Mercedes logos that can be highlighted when illuminated. A network of grilles sets it apart from other versions.

The side view shows the CLA retains its classic surging-style bodywork design. Advanced aerodynamics come into play in the shoulder line's segmented design, which conveys a sense of solidity. The lower door handle is also hidden to improve airflow.

Interior: Seat Room and Overall Trend are Replaced

Inside, the Mercedes-Benz CLA is transformed compared to what you'll find in previous models or relatives.

The interior has been rebuilt around a full-width touchscreen panel in a new form that measures 10.25 inches in digital form for display of the instruments on the left side - it's an eye for the driver to focus during their ride.

Full-screen digital instrument displays will be integrated, with the left side taking up 9 and 11 inch screens respectively*

Another highlight will be to show off its new MB.OS software which incorporates functions such as entertainment.
