Beijing, January 17 - The GAC Trucks official company announcement that its L6 EM-i electric vehicle has officially started to be listed online in China.
Five model variants and with the sales range for the new model starting from RMB 9280 - 11980 thouand yuan, users enjoy a discount price of RMB 8980-111680 in advance. Among them, the major performance upgrades are focused on vehicle configuration, car computer system, as well as power system.

Exterior Design
The exterior design is retained in general from the old model, adopting a concave LED daytime running lights with the front edge grid lighting combination, and the side lenses are connected, increasing the visual width of the head.
Front package left and right side also adopt vertical layout of the LED light group combined with airflow opening. The mid-part of the front package adopts a trapezoidal shape's radiator opening and is adorned with outer decorative plating in eight-style metal.
Car body side: Retained the previous three-step line design, also applied aluminum alloy edge plate to the side window.
Interior Design
The interior layout has been updated, adopting an embracing seat belt design. The upper half adopts a black soft material, surrounded by blue LED frame lighting, and the lower half uses large area pale color soft material, combined with shallow gray sofa seats, creating warm and high-end atmosphere. Adopted 10.2-inch all-liquid-crystal instrument panel and double-axes multi-functional steering wheel. Mid-control section has 14.6-inch screen and in-line wireless charging panel plus rotary key function control keys.
The car's power system will use the EM-i technology combination of a 1.5L natural airflow engine with a dual-motor hybrid system, where the maximum output of the engine reaches 82kW, canceling out the turbocharger to improve fuel efficiency. The battery pack has two options (8.5kWh and 19.09kWH) corresponding pure electric driving range from 48km to 115km.
Competitor Analysis
The GAC L6 EM-i is positioned as a compact electric SUV with an expected starting price of over RMB ten thousand yuan, it is competing with the BAIC QinPlus DM-i, Chery Wind Cloud A8 C-DM and Longrich Uni-V intelligent iDD in this segment.
In terms of market share and brand recognition, this model mainly faces a stiff competition as long as its competitors include BAIC which has higher brand awareness, Longrich has strong technical maturity. The competitiveness on the price side is Chery while LongRich has strong young car image. In terms of vehicle positioning, the model targets families and commuters seeking high-tech and comfort, meanwhile with the market trend expecting for an increasing demand to plug-in hybrids vehicles.
