MietaPE Electric Car Brings High-Performance to the Track
MietaPE, a Chinese electric car manufacturer, has announced that it has set a new lap record at the Zhejiang International Racing Circuit. The car, an ultra-performance variant called SU7 Ultra, achieved a speed of 615 km/h (384 mph) in just over 1 minute and 32 seconds.
Driven by Liu Rongrong, a Chinese racing official, the test took place on March 17th at a temperature of 10 degrees Celsius. The car's specifications, including the TR RS P Zero Trofeo RS tires, were designed for maximum performance during the test.
During testing, MietaPE's electric powered SU7 Ultra demonstrated impressive acceleration and braking skills. The car was able to maintain speeds of up to 231 km/h (144 mph) on the T1 section, making it the fastest ever recorded for a production model on this track.
Furthermore, the vehicle showcased unparalleled level of durability. It successfully completed three consecutive flying laps while maintaining its performance at an almost professional level of intensity without braking or wearing out the tires, batteries and drivetrain components (the driving styles were kept to their limits). Despite these demanding conditions, the car still ran with a battery capacity above 60%.
The track itself measures 3.2 kilometers long and features 16 turns (7 right-hand bends and 9 left-hand bends), with an altitude difference of up to four meters. In comparison to MietaPE's SU7 Ultra, leading racing cars such as the Mercedes AMG GT, Ferrari SF90 Stradale, and Porsche 911 GT3 RS were not beaten until the eighth spot.
The top seven spots were taken by high-end performance versions from both the prestigious marques of Mercedes, Ferrari, and Porsche.
