The Huawei WEY M8, a new high-end SUV, has officially launched with an extensive range of features and amenities. The vehicle is now available for pre-sale, with a starting price of around 36.8 million yuan, which is approximately 10,000 yuan less than its competitor, the Huawei WEY M9.

Interior Features

The interior of the WEY M8 boasts a luxurious feel, featuring several color options, including white ash, red oolong tea, cinnamon brown, and starry red. The last two colors require an additional 8,000 yuan for customized installation. The vehicle features a three-screen layout, including a rear screen, middle controller with embedded car engine, and multiple speakers for sound. The WEY M8 also comes equipped with a HUD (Heads-Up Display) lift-head display system.

Driving Experience

The driving experience is further enhanced by the use of directionals arranged in three distinct ways. The steering wheel features a combination of scroll wheel and button, offering an ergonomic design that prevents fatigue over long distances. The middle console and floor have storage spaces that are large enough to accommodate everyday essentials like cups, while also providing access points for wireless charging.

Performance

The WEY M8 features multiple driving-related modes such as power mode, normal speed mode, slow mode, high-speed mode, etc. In addition to that there are electric drive modes in which it can perform at best performance by giving 100% of its output without losing any energy. This is a combination of both dual and single electric motors on four-wheeled driving system.

There have been two variants available for different driving experience.

One variant offers only pure battery power with the ability charge 0-80 km in just under an hour of charging time which takes less than five minutes for top performance The other option that has more engine power giving better speed and also slightly improved by electric assistance in normal conditions but not significantly.
