BYD Announces January Sales Figures, Exceeding 10 Million New Energy Vehicles Sold
BYD, a leading Chinese automaker, has reported its January sales data, which saw the company sell over 300,538 vehicles, representing a year-over-year growth of 49.16%. The majority of these sales were for new energy vehicles, with cumulative new energy vehicle sales exceeding 10 million units.
Breaking down the numbers, BYD sold 296,446 passenger vehicles globally in January, representing a 47.5% year-over-year increase. Exports of these cars reached 66,336 units.
BYD's top-selling models during the month included the Chinese-market-only BYD朝 (Imperial) and海洋网 (Ocean Network), with sales figures surpassing 2.8 million units between the two.
When it comes to specific model sales, byd朝 accounted for 130,030 units sold in January, including a breakthrough performance from the newly launchedBYD夏 (Spring). This marked the first month that BYD夏 surpassed 10,000 units sold, a significant milestone for the brand.
In addition, other notable sales figures were recorded for brands such as Qin, Han, Tang, Song, and Yuan, representing a combined total of over 4.7 million vehicles sold worldwide.
