Recall Reasons:

Some vehicles within the recall scope have been affected by production manufacturing reasons, causing interference to the electric motor position sensor signal of the integrated braking assist device (DSCi), which may result in DSCi being unable to provide braking assistance, affecting the functionality of the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and dynamic stability control system (DSC), posing a safety hazard.

Solution:

BMW officially stated that only a few vehicles were affected by the above situation, and the above situation can be digitally diagnosed and risk-identified to the maximum extent through software systems. Specifically:BMW (China) Automotive Trading Co., Ltd., BMW Brilliance Auto Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou BMW Automobile Co., Ltd. will use automotive remote upgrading (OTA) technology to upgrade the software of vehicles within the recall range for free, which can monitor the potential risks of DSCi and issue warning messages through the vehicle's system, prompting users to return to the store for free replacement of DSCi parts to eliminate safety hazards. For vehicles that cannot be upgraded via OTA, users can go to the store for free implementation of the recall.
