BMW Announces Lineup for Guangzhou Motor Show, Including New and Refreshed Models

BMW Group has officially announced its lineup for the 2024 Guangzhou Motor Show, which is set to take place on November 15. The carmaker will showcase a range of new and refreshed models, including flagship vehicles.

Among the new additions are the all-new BMW M235L, i5 eDrive40L, and I5 xDrive50L. The M235L is a high-performance version of the BMW 2 Series, with exterior and interior updates compared to its predecessor. This upgraded model boasts powerful engine delivery combined with advanced technologies.

In addition to these flagship vehicles, BMW M will be launching its highly anticipated BMW M4 GT3 EVO race car for the 2025 season. Furthermore, customers can look forward to new variants of the BMW 5 Series, M3, and luxury crossover BMW XM.

Minis, another brand owned by the BMW Group, will also participate with a wide range of new models across different sizes and powertrains: M and eDrive. In addition, BMW will be showcasing its urban mobility offerings with motorbikes BM C 400 GT and X series, BMW C 400 GT and BMW C 400 X respectively, which are set to launch during the Guangzhou Motor Show.

New Models

M235L

BMW M235L is the brand's new interpretation of a BMW two-seater model. Equipped with updated bodywork such as sleek vertical and horizontal stripes drawn from BMW Vision Circular concept car, the upgraded dynamic version presents a unique look. This modern luxury sedan will be powered by 2.0t naturally aspirated inline engine that produces maximum output at 221kW/300Nm and goes hand in hand with 7-speed double-clutch automatic transmission system. The drive type is all-wheel drive, adding to its powerful acceleration with times of 4.9 seconds for the 0-100 km/h run from standstill, as well as a top speed of 250km per hour.

xDriven50 L

i5 eDrive40L equips BMW’s new electrical engine system that boasts higher power output compared to its predecessor by some kW. For instance, the 35L model had 250kW peak electricity. Thus providing enhanced speed and performance as a result. Meanwhile, an additional high-performance version is introduced in it: all-wheel drive capabilities combined with a powerful single motor, capable of producing up to 190kW and a further one that provides the most top speed ever reached at 250 km/h.

It's equipped by advanced HA0001N0 electrical unit produced by Siemens, where peak electricity is set at a significant advantage due to higher efficiency rate compared with its previous version. The car retains typical features in terms of design, including side sills and front spoilers that are highly customizable.

New BMW i4 Models

BMW’s latest refreshments bring notable aesthetic upgrades across new variants as well incorporating some advanced electrical systems for higher performance output.

BMW also includes several motorbike designs such as the C 400 GT electric bike with an urban mobility design as part of its refreshed lineup.
