BYD Launches Pre-Sale Date for Lecong 900 Electric SUV, to Hit Showrooms in Second Half of the Year
BYD has announced that its upcoming luxury electric SUV, the Lecong 900, will go on sale globally starting March 25th. Based on the SPA Evo large-size electric mixed vehicle exclusive architecture, the Lecong 900 is positioned as a flagship six-seat luxurious SUV.
The Lecong 900 will boast an NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor chip, featuring advanced driving features including autonomous obstacle avoidance, city navigation without satellite images, and car-to-parking capabilities. The G-AES (General Automatic Emergency Stop) common obstacle automatic evade function can recognize obstacles ranging from three to larger-than-life objects at a speed of up to 130 km/h.
Furthermore, the Lecong 900 will be equipped with an MLM (Multi-Layer Multi-Modal) large language model-based intelligent driving system, capable of achieving full-blooded car-to-parking capabilities. The nationwide urban navigation NZP without satellite images is expected to enter mass production by year-end. With advancements in core technologies such as one-piece endpoint Plus and the MLM large-scale multi-modal large language module, the Lecong 900 can accurately address various driving scenes such as a ring road, sharp turns, variable lanes, high-speed ETC roads, and rush-hour zone.
Currently, the extreme-mileage Thousand Star navigation system has entered live testing. The Extreme-Thousand Highway Star intelligent parking function, installed on cars exceeding Extreme-Thousand H7 models, will begin large-scale releases in April.
The Lecong 900 features a design language inspired by the urban counterpoint THE NEXT DAY and offers five color options: extreme night black, cloud gray cloudy, dawn blue sky, dawn white morning, and weekday silver.
Measuring dimensions include length (5240 mm), width (1999 mm), height (1810 mm), with an axle distance of 3160mm and a wind resistance coefficient of 0.291. Upon entering the interior, users can select from three shades of color: dusk twilight light, warm sandy yellow sun, morning star sky, dawn white morning and weekday silver.
The Lecong 900 features a one-unit six-kilowatt screen, dual-color double-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, a clear 12.66-inch high-definition instrument cluster, as well as a full-screen 30-inch six-kilowatt screen in the passenger cabin area.
Power and mobility will be provided by three driving systems: a two-liter T engine + triple-motor (a front 123kW and rear dual motors totaling 160kW/160kW), a two-liter T engine + dual-engine (front 123kW and rear 230kW); the 1.5-liter T engine + double-electric (front 160kW and rear 230kW) configuration, yielding peak system outputs of 630kW, 540kw and 530kw respectively.
As added features to ensure driving satisfaction, it will include a closed double-chamber air spring + CDC Continuous Damping control system for stable single-track, two-tracks switching or adjusting the rear damping suspension; in addition, the Lecong Super AI digital platform can implement various functions such as "Washington State” original territory landing, crab mode, and agile cornering capabilities.
