Upcoming AMG Electric SUV Spotted on Camera
A recent image leak has revealed the upcoming AMG electric SUV, set to be built on the AMG.EA platform. The vehicle is positioned as a high-performance pure-electric SUV and is expected to hit the market by 2026.
The leaked image shows the car with an enclosed roof panel, accompanied by wider air intakes at the front. The sides are distinguished by recessed areas that may feature down-sloping ducts. Big LED lights adorn the headlamps, partnered with bulky engine compartments offering a commanding presence. Additionally, the car sports hidden door handles and large dark-colored wheels.
A comparison between previous promotional images reveals the vehicle will boast smooth lines and an inclined roofline, with the rear end featuring a slotted diffuser.
The electric motor system is expected to consist of 800V architecture with four electric motors delivering maximum torque of 1014 horsepower. It comes equipped with a vector control system, four-wheel steering active suspension, AMG-specific batteries, and other specifications will be disclosed as they become available.
