Baidu HanL Delivers on Promises, Brings Luxury to the Masses

Shanghai, China - On January 17th, Baidu HanL officially made its grand debut, marking a significant milestone in the brand's pursuit of excellence. As its counterpart, the Baidu Han will be sold alongside it, catering to different segments of the market.

Positioning itself as a luxury vehicle targeted towards the mass market, the HanL is expected to offer superior features at an affordable price tag, while offering comparable comfort and features to higher-end brands.

In terms of design, the HanL takes cues from Baidu's "Loong Face" family-style face design language. Upfront, it boasts a slender front grille with slim LED lights for a sophisticated appearance. An active air intake system enhances airflow, providing an exhilarating driving experience.

Moving on to the side profile, the sleeker and extended wing-like shape adds visual interest to the design, complemented by a cleverly designed door handle integration. A nod to traditional designs, the C-pillar takes inspiration from "撇捺," displaying more pronounced line work. The vehicle boasts dimensions of 5050mm in length, 1960mm width, and 1505mm height with an axle distance of 2970mm. Featuring 19-inch alloy wheels paired with a unique double-tone livery.

A nod to heritage aesthetics, the rear features a pair of LED tail lights dubbed the "凤翎" design inspired by the phoenix icon from traditional Chinese art. Adopting an elegantly symmetrical layout for maximum visual impact, and echoing a glazed appearance reminiscent of ceramicware in use as color elements (琉光银、墨竹青、端砚灰).

The interior design philosophy is one of strength centered around the central column, showcasing elegance with refined materials such as wood and leather. It carries advanced display and control features such as integrated screens and intuitive control elements.

Powering the HanL are electric vehicles powered by Baidu’s SuperE platform paired with electric motors delivering exceptional performance levels starting at incredible 0-100km/h in just under 2.7 seconds. Alongside will be a hybrid model DM-p, offering further capabilities.

Driven to meet consumer enthusiasm for luxury vehicles without an overly exorbitant price tag, HanL marks the beginning of Baidu’s quest to challenge established brands at this tier.
