Tesla Announces Strong Q4 and Full-Year Financials, Pledging Electric Vehicle Growth

January 30 (Reuters) – Tesla Inc., electric vehicle and clean energy giant, released its fourth-quarter 2024 financial report on Tuesday. The company made several key announcements regarding its future plans.

According to the earnings report, 2024 Q4 GAAP Operating Profit reached $16 billion, with net loss of $23 billion. The corporation reported an operating cash flow of $149 billion for the year and a significant decrease in free cash flow of $36 billion for the year.

Furthermore, Tesla announced that model Y will be released in January 2025.

Additionally, new semi-trucks are set to arrive in late 2025 and entered production during first quarter 2026

Tesla's electric vehicles achieved records in Q4 in terms of delivery volume and energy storage device installation. It is expected that Model Y will be the best-selling vehicle again by all models globally this year.

The company announced that Tesla became the number one brand for the fourth time consecutively in Norway, and Model Y surpassed many markets as well as became the best selling vehicles in five Europeian markets this year

Tesla's Autopilot system recorded an average of 59 million miles driven without accidents. The car achieved the lowest number of accident ever in Q4

Regarding autonomy, Tesla enhanced its computing capabilities by more than 400%. Until now, over 300 billion kilometer traveled with smart driving feature. It is expected to be tested within america this year and will launch Cybercab no longer than next year

The company also released a network of charging stations. According Supercharger, there are now almost 100 thousand charging stations in the US.
