Chery's Techart 08 Unveiled: Chinese Purgatory Pure Electric SUV

The first public offering of the Chery Techart 08 was recently completed in January this year. The vehicle is classified as a pure electric mid-size SUV, priced between 23.98 and 33.98 million CNY.

Exteriorly, the Techart 08 boasts a modern design language, with seven-inch large headlights and a double-tone body color scheme. The rear of the car features seven-inch headlamps, while two horizontal strips connect on both sides of the vehicle.

The interior of the car also undergoes an overall new design, with multiple levels that create depth. Additionally, it comes equipped with an all-in-one integrated seatback screen that includes a six-inch driver's instrument display and a 15.5-inch central control screen. The screen is connected to intelligent surface touch keys for better operation. On the left side of the screen, there are touch-controlled LED light switches.

In terms of intelligence configuration, the new vehicle comes equipped with L2-grade assistant driving systems that support urban and expressway smart drive modes.

Powerwise, the Techart 08 has a single electric motor rear-wheel drive system and double electric four-wheel drive power system. It can produce maximum outputs of 253 kilowatts and 455 kilowatts, respectively, with peak torque values of 450 Nm and 756 Nm. The vehicle offers three different battery capacity options: 75 kWh, 85 kWh, and 111 kWh.

Under CLTC pure electric operating conditions, the Techart 08 has running ranges of 520 km, 565 km, 605 km, 680 km, and 730 km for its respective batteries.
