Huawei's High-Tech Driving Features Rolled Out with Latest 8.0 OTA Update

The latest update, Version 8.0, has been released for the Equation Phoenix series, bringing a range of high-tech driving features, including advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving capabilities.

One of the key features introduced in this update is City NCA, which enables end-to-end human intelligent driving in complex urban areas. This feature provides advanced navigation assistance, allowing drivers to navigate through intersections, automated lane changes, and tight turns.

Another feature is City LCC Plus, which enhances traditional driver-assistance systems by improving precision in recognizing red traffic lights and seconds. The system also helps detect vacant parking spots and assists with automatic parking.

Additionally, the update includes a range of new safety features, such as Automatic Lane Keeping, Vehicle Parking Sensors (AVP), and advanced collision mitigation. For example, if a car is parked along the road, the system can automatically reverse to ensure safety.

However, it's essential for users to note that the OTA upgrade process typically takes around 50 minutes and may vary depending on their vehicle environment. Users are advised to stop in a slow-moving area with good signals, have sufficient battery life (above 20%), and close all cabin doors before upgrading their vehicle. They are also warned against manually initiating shutdown or interfering with the update process.

Furthermore, drivers must complete an ADS safety tutorial and pass a test through the application after completing the learning video to ensure safe usage of High-Technology driving capabilities. Drivers should always remain in control during use and avoid over-reliance on ADAS.
