Ferrari Posts Teaser Images of Its Upcoming 296HS High-Performance Version
A series of leaked images has given us our first glimpse of Ferrari's upcoming high-performance version, codenamed the 296HS. Scheduled to debut in April 2025, this new model is rumored to be a reworked version of the current 296.
The image renders showcase a heavily camouflaged front end, making it difficult to discern further details at present. However, it's possible that the car could retain much of its existing 296 design while adopting some distinctive design cues that differentiate it from the standard model. The headlamps are expected to borrow from the current version's layout but with subtle variations that indicate enhanced functionality. Furthermore, the side profile hints at more substantial performance-oriented aerodynamics compared to the standard version.
As we approach the rear, both the sides and back of the 296HS appear to be under wraps, but Ferrari is known for their flair in aerodynamic design elements such as diffusers and air curtains on various models to provide enhanced downforce while maintaining aerodynamic efficiency. While current leaks do not show a significant differentiating feature, there's considerable room for interpretation and development when these are officially unveiled.
Under the bonnet, Ferrari has yet to confirm substantial engine upgrades but sources suggest a 3.0T V6 hybrid power unit similar to or more powerful than that found in present models, such as the current iteration's 830 horsepower. Details on other speculations regarding performance and features will become clearer once an official release is announced.
