BMW Unveils Latest iX3 Design Schematics, Teased Production for 2025
Bavarian automaker to introduce refreshed design language on Neue Klasse platform
A set of newly revealed BMW iX3 images showcase the upcoming car model that is poised to apply the latest design language. The model will be among the first of the new Neuge Klasse platform, and it's also expected to be the first in line for production.
According to available information, the iX3 is likely arriving by 2025’s year-end and mass production is slated to begin soon after. A series of images taken recently at BMW’s Debrecen factory showcase the car under test, which will provide viewers with a detailed look at its upcoming model.
Image First Look
One of the first things that catches your attention on these freshly unveiled iX3 schematics would be how they light up under driving conditions. We can notice one line illuminating the high beam while another comes to life under low intensity, and this gives some insight into BMW's future directions in terms of style.
For instance, we can see a simplified LED bar illuminating along the road, which fits closely into BMW’s trend towards reducing clutter on vehicle exteriors. We find ourselves drawn to how different lights highlight various aspects of new car design – an approach that should also extend beyond headlights and onto overall vehicle visual identity.
Up front, the grille will appear more aggressive based upon debossed details around central trim sections. Rear end design elements could be inspired from these headlight patterns - BMW’s latest trends hint towards such a move forward.
Interior, Exterior & Under The Bonnet Features
This model is expected to feature BMW's advanced in-cabin features – starting with the sleek dashboard design inspired by digital tech that should bring enhanced user interaction and improved usability.
In terms of exterior styles, debossed designs can be noticed behind central trim sections and even within wheel coverings. Rear view mirrors will be positioned above a slightly more raised lower section to match headlight positions. This will add depth in our visual assessment and might possibly help reduce blind spots for driving.
Lastly, BMW has revealed that the iX3 may support new electric vehicle tech, known as 800V power generation – which could bring a considerable boost to power output. If confirmed via upcoming spec sheets, an upgraded version is likely set for later delivery in series production with expected outputs starting under 300-600 horsepower and reaching up to 1,000/1,200km on electric battery only.
